Aldi Ireland have warned customers to beware of a fraudulent voucher deception purporting to offer a voucher worth €150 as fraction of a 'Christmas celebration'. Aldi Ireland issued an alert via their Twitter account on Thursday that read: "ALERT: There's a hoax €150 Aldi voucher offer circulating out of messaging services involving WhatsApp. "This offer is FRAUDULENT and CANNOT be redeemed in our stores. She wrote: "Yep, was going to inform you, my mother just sent it on to me via WhatsApp". The fake message reads: "ALDI is giving away €150 toll free Voucher to everyone on Christmas celebration (sic), go here to get it", followed with a link.

Aldi customers warned over survey deception as voucher hoax circulates on WhatsApp

as informed in The fraudulent offer, that is being sent via WhatsApp, invites customers to click a linked and take fraction in an on-line survey in order to receive a €150 shopping voucher for the store. "If you receive a message with a linked to the survey please don't click the linked or insert any personal information. This offer is FRAUDULENT and CANNOT be redeemed in our stores," a statement from the discount supermarket giant read. "We are investigating the matter. If you have any more queries please contact us via private message or please contact our customer service team."
