Currently, sending messages in bold, italic and strikethrough requires some old school trickery such as *word* for bold or _word_ for italic. Pictures of the update show a formatting bar appear above highlighted text and it will most likely be popular with people who like to make their messages stand out.

The social messaging app, WhatsApp in an interesting turn of events has rolled out two updates for its users. New updates include changing the font style of a word and finding emojis in the app with much ease. The company has also previously announced that it is updating its platform so that users can send any type of file. It is to be noted here that these new features are only available to android users, iOS users have to wait for these updates. The company has not officially announced when it will be releasing these updates for its iOS users.

The first new iOS feature displays multiple pictures within a conversation in a grid format, rather than one on top of the other. Only recently, WhatsApp treated iOS users to some exciting new features that android is still waiting on. It seems only apt that Android users get first dibs, though. But if WhatsApp current feature-in-testing becomes a reality, it won't be long until there's a much easier way to make your messages pop. However, it's not the most straightforward trick of the thumb; you have to do *this* to write in bold, _this_ to write text in italics, and ~this~ to adda strikethrough.
