WhatsApp users on Vodafone can now update status, chat or in their most preferred language. WhatsApp and Vodafone India have teamed up to promote the use of local language on the widely used cross-platform messaging app. While the messaging app in India has over 200 million monthly active users, using 10 Indian languages. With these setting, switching to local language on WhatsApp chats on Vodafone carrier becomes simplified to few clicks. Vodafone's new interface designed in regional languages itself is built with an animated step-by-step guide for the changing default application language to different Indian languages while chatting.

To inform regional language users of the local languages on WhatsApp, Vodafone has created customized webpages in various Indian languages (Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil among others).
