Now, to appease its user-base, WhatsApp has rolled out its previous text status feature back in a new update. WhatsApp introduced a new Snapchat-esque status feature in its latest update a few days back. For reverting to the previous status feature, users will have to click on the three dots that appear on the top-right side and go into Settings. Do note that the Snapchat-esque feature will continue to be available as before.
The latest beta of WhatsApp has returned the old status to users. Not long ago, we told you how to activate the old WhatsApp status with root. In order to enjoy this feature you must register in the WhatsApp beta program on Google Play, since the stable version does not yet have it active. It is certainly great news that the old status return to WhatsApp, since having removed them in previous updates is something that did not sit well with users. Finally, and we hope that in a definitive way, the old states have returned to WhatsApp, and you do not need root or anything like that to install them.
