Enda Kenny's fate seems sealed as over half of people polled, 53 per cent, want the Taoiseach to step aside as the Fine Gael leader. Social Protection Minister Leo Varadkar is at 37 per cent of popularity with Fine Gael supporters and Simon Coveney is ten per cent behind at 27 per cent. As the leadership race heats up and the McCabe affair unfolds, Fine Gael's party support seems to be suffering. Labour, the Green Party and Independents are down six per cent, two per cent and 14 per cent respectively. But his main rival Housing Minister Simon Coveney is hot on his heels with 23 per cent of the vote.
