If you ever forget your passcode, a link can be emailed to this address that will allow you to disable the two-step verification in order to access your account.

It explained that to enable the feature users will have to rush at the 'Settings' option of the app and visit 'Account', where the Two-step verification could be enabled. The security feature had been under testing for several months for Android, iOS and Windows platforms, started in early November.

"When you have the feature enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp must be accompanied by the six-digit passcode that you choose," WhatsApp said in a statement. The new feature will be available to all 1.2 billion WhatsAppusers across iPhone, Android and Windows.
