The days of waiting to get an internet connection before sending a WhatsApp message are now over. Android users are already able to do this with WhatsApp messages.

The ability to queue up WhatsApp messages while offline has been available on Android since at least June of last year, according to a forum on AskDifferent. On Tuesday, WhatsApp for iOS rolled out an update which allows you to queue up messages offline to be sent automatically when you regain connection, Macrumors first reported. The update also includes the ability to send up to 30 photos or videos at once, up from 10 previously, and an update to the storage usage screen. Previously on iOS, the send button was disabled if you didn't have a strong enough connection — meaning if you were mid-sending a WhatsApp message and you suddenly lost connection the message would stay stuck in the text box. The new storage screen allows you to clear certain message types, like videos or images, from specific chats to free up space.

WhatsApp for iOS update lets you send messages offline
WhatsApp could soon introduce the ability to recall sent messages, easing the minds of people that regularly panic after sending texts by mistake. It builds on WhatsApp's popular send your location feature that allows users to share their exact position at a given time. A new feature unique to WhatsApp is being tested that lets users send friends their moving location so that they can find one another more easily. They can opt to share their moving position for a limited time of one, two or five minutes. The long-awaited feature will mean that users can delete a message from the receivers phone if it is yet to be read.
