WhatsApp has pushed-out a new update, and might just change how you send your messagesWhatsApp has rolled-out a major new update to its hugely-successful chat app. The latest software update, which is now available for iPhone owners, lets users send text messages – even when they do not have a wifi or mobile data connection. Following the update, "messages will be queued up and sent when your phone regains a connection," WhatsApp clarifies in the App Store listing. At the moment, users without an internet connection are able to draft a reply message in the text field, but are unable to press the send button until the smartphone reconnects.

On Tuesday, WhatsApp for iOS rolled out an update which allows you to queue up messages offline to be sent automatically when you regain connection, Macrumors first reported. The update also includes the ability to send up to 30 photos or videos at once, up from 10 previously, and an update to the storage usage screen. Previously on iOS, the send button was disabled if you didn't have a strong enough connection — meaning if you were mid-sending a WhatsApp message and you suddenly lost connection the message would stay stuck in the text box. The new storage screen allows you to clear certain message types, like videos or images, from specific chats to free up space.
