WhatsApp for Windows Phone brings OneDrive backups, GIF support, and more
WhatsApp has released a new update for its Windows Phone app, adding a host of new features.The update brings some of the features that were introduced on the WhatsApp Beta app recently.Most notably, the update brings OneDrive integration for backups, which essentially allows users to backup their chat history and messages, which they can restore after resetting their phone or getting a new phone.
Latest WhatsApp Beta for Windows Phone fixes WhatsApp Web issue
WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone has just been updated with a fix for the WhatsApp web issue.Version 2.16.238.0 of the app corrects an issue with WhatsApp Web, the desktop version of the app, introduced in recent builds, allowing users to once again access their WhatsApp messaging from a desktop browser.If you don't have WhatsApp Beta we'll let you know once this feature is available for all users — so keep an eye out for it.

The WhatsApp messaging app has updated its non-beta Windows Phone client, adding the ability to back up chats to a OneDrive account.This feature was added in the beta version of WhatsApp in September.The new version number for WhatsApp is 2.16.240.0.
