Attorney-General George Brandis says confidential material has "never, ever" been communicated by cabinet ministers on WhatsApp - but he won't be releasing the proof.But the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's cyber security adviser, Alastair MacGibbon, said no checks had been made to establish whether classified or sensitive material had ever been sent via WhatsApp or another third-party application by MPs or ministerial staff.
