2016/07/26 18:45(ATTN: RECASTS headline and updates throughout)VIENTIANE, July 26 (Yonhap) -- Top diplomats from nearly 30 Asia-Pacific countries and regional powers started their meeting on Tuesday where they will most likely discuss such regional security issues as threats from North Korea and the territorial disputes in the South China Sea.The ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), the largest regional security gathering, was attended by foreign ministers from the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and top officials from other parts of Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania.The ARF is a rare international occasion attended by the North along with all the other countries that were involved in the six-party talks aimed at curbing Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions.
