In a bid to curb misinformation on WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned company has introduced a new feature for forwarded messages. The idea is to clarify when the words in a message box are not those of the sender. Apparently, the label will not only be able to apply text but also to images, videos and audio messages. On a blog post announcing the new feature, WhatsApp said: "This extra context will help make one-on-one and group chats easier to follow. "It also helps you determine if your friend or relative wrote the message they sent or if it originally came from someone else."
